The 1999–2000 Excelsior-Henderson Super X is a modern American cruiser revival featuring a proprietary 1386cc (85ci) 50-degree V-twin engine, fuel injection, and distinct neo-retro styling. Built in Minnesota, it produced roughly 63-65 horsepower and featured a unique trailing-link front suspension. Only around 2,000 units were produced.

Known as a rare collector's item (approx. 1,900-2,000 produced), often described as a bold attempt to challenge Harley-Davidson in the late 90s.

The Super X was known for having a unique, high-quality, in-house designed engine rather than using off-the-shelf components, but high production costs and competition led to its swift demise.
