You will be mainly operating at the On The Wheel Superstore in Southwick, and will be a vital part of the day to day running of the shop. This role will cover many areas and departments so you will need to be flexible, hard working and a real team player.

Main Duties:

  • Help with daily housekeeping and presentation of the store ensuring it is up to dealer standards
  • Check the bikes & products prices are correct, along with checking the shop displays
  • Help with monthly bike and clothing stock takes
  • Complete admin work for both sold & purchased bikes. This will also include preparing deal packs, ensuring all required documents are present and booking bikes into stock
  • List motorbike stock on Click Dealer- including photographing, cleaning and preparing bikes
  • Assist customers with enquiries
  • Complete End of Day banking when required
  • Complete all Franchises/Finance /MBI training in a timely manner
  • Source and buy in bikes/part exchanges - only when authorised by a Manager

Other Duties:

  • Once training complete cover days off for Service/Parts and Sales, Clothing or Admin
  • Bring bikes in and out of the store each morning and evening
  • Other duties as required by the business

Requirements:

  • Passion or knowledge of motorcycles beneficial
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Hard working and reliable
  • Strong admin skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills are required, with the ability to build relationships

Motorcycle Technician | Full Time

Motorcycle Technician | Full Time

As a Technician at On The Wheel you will be presented with a variety of jobs ranging from puncture repairs to engine rebuilds (depending on ability) so no two days will be the same. You will work on our key brands; Sinnis, Suzuki, KTM, Husqvarna, Peugeot and Yamaha along with other brands. The ability/willingness to adapt and problem solve is important as is the ability to work to targets and estimated job times. There will be times when you will need to speak to customers face to face or on the telephone where a technical explanation is needed.

Duties:

  • Build new motorcycles and complete PDI for new and used motorcycles in accordance to manufacturer specifications
  • Ensure job cards show time spent on job, parts used (including part numbers where required) and mileage of vehicle
  • Carry out services, repair work etc as required and ensure all PDI, Build & check forms are completed accurately
  • Carry out warranty repairs & recalls as required, keeping all old parts to be returned to relevant suppliers
  • Attend manufacturer training , along with other training (online & in person), when required
  • Work to estimated job times shown on job cards and advise Workshop Foreman if any delays
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard
  • Manage own workspace
  • Work as part of Workshop team to keep workshop clean and tidy
  • Ensure Health & Safety risks are adhered to at all times
  • Carry out other tasks not listed but required by the business when required

Requirements:

  • At least 1 years experience as a Motorcycle Technician
  • Strong work ethic
  • Being able to produce accurate job cards for invoicing purposes
  • Good time management

Service and Parts Advisor | Full Time

Service and Parts Advisor | Full Time

This is a predominantly customer facing role where you will be on the frontline of the workshop. You will be answering the phone, taking bookings for all types of work over the phone and in person as well as ordering parts for customers, sales bikes and workshop jobs. You will need to be able to structure your day but also be adaptable to the changing requirements of the business through the course of any given day.

Duties:

  • Managing the workshop diary and assisting with any enquiries from customers and workshop staff
  • Booking in sold bikes to stock and ensuring that all relevant processes are followed
  • Processing job cards/invoices ensuring the customers are advised of any required work
  • Ensuring parts for upcoming jobs are ordered and ready
  • Receiving, distributing and checking deliveries
  • Brief Workshop Foreman and Parts on issues encountered during the day and on jobs for the following day and any potential upcoming issues
  • Entering and monitoring warranties and services for all franchise work- assisting with invoicing when required
  • Ensuring Health & Safety risks are adhered to at all times that the stock room, showroom and goods in area are tidy and organized
  • Carrying out other adhoc tasks required by the business

Requirements:

  • 1 years experience in a similar role is beneficial
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a face paced environment
  • Good communication and computer skills
  • Excellent customer service skills required
