Motorcycle Technician | Full Time

Motorcycle Technician | Full Time

On The Wheel Superstore is a multi franchise motorcycle dealer in Portslade, West Sussex. We sell a selection of quality used motorcycles alongside new Suzuki, KTM, Husqvarna, Peugeot & Sinnis.

We currently have the opportunity for an experienced Motorcycle Technician to join our workshop team where you will work on all of the above brands and more.

The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines without sacrificing quality of work is essential as is the ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative where required.

    Duties include:

  • Building new motorcycles and carrying out PDIs as per manufacturer specifications
  • Tracking, tracing and diagnosing faults including using manufacturer diagnostic tools
  • Carry out routine, scheduled services
  • Working to deadlines

    Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will be a skilled and experienced Motorcycle Technician of at least 3 years with the ability to work to the high standards that our customers expect
  • Must hold a full motorcycle licence

Service and Parts Advisor | Full Time

Service and Parts Advisor | Full Time

This is a predominantly customer facing role where you will be on the frontline of the workshop. You will be answering the phone, taking bookings for all types of work over the phone and in person as well as ordering parts for customers, sales bikes and workshop jobs. You will need to be able to structure your day but also be adaptable to the changing requirements of the business through the course of any given day. You will be responsible for ordering parts for one of the largest dealerships on the South Coast so the ability to design and implement robust systems centred around the Deep Blue system is important.

The role is 5 days a week including Saturdays with a day off mid week. Salary dependent on experience.

    Duties include:

  • Ensure Health & Safety risks are mitigated at all times.
  • Take bookings for workshop jobs from retail customers over the phone and at the Service counter.
  • Assist customers on the phone and at service counter with parts enquiries and ordering.
  • Order items for sold bikes as required (notified by Sales team via email) and ensure that any relevant process set by supplier is followed to ensure correct pricing etc is received (package deals etc)
  • Process warranty claims with suppliers and ensure items are returned to suppliers where required.
  • Process job cards/invoices for external and internal customers promptly and to contact customers where required to advise of additional works required or job completion etc.
  • Ensure parts for upcoming jobs are ordered.
  • Receive and distribute (where needed) deliveries.
  • Check off deliveries and input to Deep Blue
  • Order both stock items and special order items for customers.
  • Implement and manage stock ordering system/process.
  • Ensure stock levels and pricing are accurate.
  • Ensure stock rooms and “goods in” areas are tidy and organised.
  • Brief Service Manager and Workshop Foreman on issues encountered during the day and on jobs for the following day and any potential upcoming
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Adhere to guidelines/requirements within Staff Handbook at all times.
  • Carry out other tasks not listed but required by the business when required.
  • End of day banking
